Dirk Gently Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 A couple years ago I learned this and played in a recital and for a competition (World Piano Competition, Cincinnati, young artists division :ermm:). This is a recording of me playing it afterwards, recording it for...something, can't remember :P. I have the recording of the competition and/or the recital afterwards in Carnegie Hall....maybe I can find that and post it here, this recording happened to be on my soundclick page :P. What do you think :innocent:? In case you were wondering, I won 3rd place at the competition. SoundClick artist: VerdiLver's - page with MP3 music downloads Quote
Dan Gilbert Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Very nice performance. It's not my favorite piece, but that my be partially because my sister played it, and I got to listen to her practice that repeated-single-note section for like 2 months. Congrats on winning! Quote
Voce Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 That section that starts 20sec. in is really impressive. Like I told you earlier, you slow down a little sometimes in crucial spots, which blurs the beat. But other than that, great performance. Quote
Nigel Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I want to play this! Though it's slightly ahead of me right now. Anyone have the sheet music? Quote
Max Castillo Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I played that for one of my piano exams, it was epic, though I did it faster. I think it sounds better when played faster. Quote
