So, I have a huge dilemma.

I am, by no means, a piano player. I have taken two semesters of Piano lab in college and gotten A's in both classes, but I'm not a "piano player." A problem I'm having is that I'm unfamiliar with piano music and I don't know how to write something beautiful like I want to. I usually just end up with blocked chords or simple arpeggios or something, and I think that's why I haven't written any [instrument/voice] and piano works.

What should I do? Any advice? Thanks.

As simple as it sounds, learn to play piano. Lean the mechanics of the instrument. You don't have to be a "player" as you call it. Make it your second (or third) instrument. And learn it simply for the sake of learning how to write for it. I did this with the organ and it was imensely helpful.

Also, study the piano literature to see how other composers did it. If they can do it, so can you!

I wouldn't say you have to learn how to play piano, just look at piano writing by a lot of different composers. If you aren't a pianist, I wouldn't compose for piano by trying to play it/improvise it.
