Introducing myself?

Hello!

I just joined, and I'm anxious to get involved. I'm being invited to "introduce myself." Would love to, but the link to "Introduce yourself" takes me to a page that says I lack privileges to do such a thing.

And yet, it would seem I can post this message.

Any thoughts, hints?

That did the trick! thanks! BTW, I do not recall modifying access to any area. But anything's possible.

I've since looked into this, and it seems a problem on our end has been preventing new users from automatically receiving access to the Off Topic forum (which was always previously the case). Should be fixed for users registering from now on. Sorry about that - my fault. :)
