Flute Choirs/Orchestras

Hey Guys,

Have any of you heard some of the flute orchestras and choirs around? As a flautist I'm bound to take a particular interest, but I was wondering if this type of ensemble is particularly main stream at all? I heard an arrangement of the Vivaldi's four seasons for a flute orchestra and thought it was absolutely fantastic.

Furthermore, if some of you enjoy listening to this genre, do any of you know of any CD recordings of this music? I hope to join a flute choir once I begin college and would love to get an idea of the standard repetoire before I begin :D
