Andy1044 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 One of my favorite Film Composers, Brian Tyler, gives a couple of interviews in his studio about his process, hardware that he uses, instruments he plays, etc. etc. etc. Pretty interesting if you are interested in film music, or how a pretty big name film composer does his work. Nirvana69 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I can't say I'm familiar with his work considering most of the films he composes for are shockingly bad but seems like a nice fellow. Good interview. Quote
Marius Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I don't really like most of his work, but I suspect that it's got more to do with directorial mandates rather than any lack of ability on his part because the guy is clearly extremely talented if you've ever heard his score for Children of Dune. Nice interview though, thanks for sharing! :) Quote
Andy1044 Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 I am constantly amazed by how good of a musician he is. Not many composers, or instrumentalists for that matter, can play as many and as wide a range of instruments as well as he can. "The Final Cut" is definitely one of his best scores, though it's rather obscure and it might be hard to find a copy of the score. Quote
Marius Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I actually had the opportunity to grab that score and didn't...guess I have to go find it again now. :P I agree about his instrumental talents though. And my god, seeing that studio...what an absolutely inspiring place to work, seriously. Quote
