Jimmyjuicin Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 hey here is my trumpet sonata, piano and trumpet, in D major.it is a reduction of my concerto for trumpet and orchestra, but it is not the whole thing, just an example and then u tell me if u like and i go on with the reduction :) Audio Very nice. I like it so far. Keep it going. Just watch the range. A G above the staff (Bb pitch, not concert) and up really starts gettin into my upper register. I can do it up to the C, but it's stretching it a bit.
Trumpetman252 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Jimmy, is this OK? I was writing something else, but it's not going onto the page very well and I won't be able to finish it by the Jan. 16 deadline. Here's something I wrote in high school, and it's actually an extract from a larger piece. I know it's short, but you said you wanted a nice beautiful melody so I thought this might fit the bill. :) Let me know if there's anything you want changed. SOUND: II. Thefury2600 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Ok here is my piece. It's about five and a half minutes long but dont worry you're not playing the ENTIRE time haha. I tried to keep this piece on the simple side but don't get me wrong I think it has some pretty good melodies somewhere in the mix. The range is down to a low G up to an Ab so no problem there? The mp3 doesn't really do a good job with dynamics but thats ok take a listen... http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/jesters-dance-19008.html#post284958 (score) trumpet.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage -Steven
neuhausen Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Hi everyone, I wrote a lyrical piece for trumpet and piano that may be suitable for this event. About the work: This piece was inspired by the popular vocalise by Rachmaninoff and its lyrical style, single prelude structure of Chopin, as well as static rhythmic and harmonic elements of the Baroque Adagio (second mvt of Marcello's Oboe Concerto in D minor, for example). The result is this vocalise for trumpet and piano. Of course any comments are always welcome. nhpiano Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Hi, Finally I have finished mine, after a long time without any idea. Wall, I sent earlier the first movement, but after I wrote the two other movements I decided to change the order a bit. So... The first movement is a very light one - Very melodic, if you want. It includes an opening for the piano, and then the trumpet enters. The secind movement is a Mazurka, a bit heavier then the first movement but still melodic. The third an last movement is what I sent earlier as the first: a light movement with a faster end. Tell me if you like it, and if it is playable. Also, ask me any question :) MP3: Move. 1: 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download Trumpet sonata move.1.mp3 Move. 2: 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download Trumpet sonata move.2.mp3 Move. 3: 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download Trumpet sonata move.3.mp3 Enjoy :) Trumpet sonata move.1.pdf Trumpet sonata move.2.pdf Trumpet sonata move.3.pdf PDF Trumpet sonata move.1Trumpet sonata move.2Trumpet sonata move.3
