josephwilliam Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 There's this composers contest that I want to enter and it says that one of the requirements is that the piece be in A-B-A form. Does the following count as A-B-A form: (ABABA)-©-(ABABA) or (ABAB)-©-(ABABA) ? Quote
Emeraldstone Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I would say that the first one (ABABA-C-ABABA) is an ABA form. The next one (ABAB-C-ABABA) is more of an ABA' form, but I believe it would still work. It depends on how picky they are. If they say they want ABA form, and they mean it, you'd better give them an ABA form. But if they mean just a general ABA form, you probably could mix it up a little. Best of luck... :D Quote
Old Composer Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 What's the contest? Is there a link? Quote
