guiseppi Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Please indulge me, if you will. I am a student and am doing a term paper. I would like to ask just a few general questions to someone about how they got interested in composing, at what age they realized their interest or potential, were they pushed or merely encouraged by their parents? If they feel comfortable telling me their general socio-economic status and that of other composers they know. General questions of that type. I do not need names or where they live. I realize this is a forum for serious musical composers and do not intend to undermine the intent of this forum. I respect your decision if you do not feel this is a request you can meet. Thank you :veryunsure: Quote
Daniel Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I'll answer some of your questions, if you want. However, I expect you to be listening to some of the music on this site. Quote
guiseppi Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 Would you like to correspond privately or through this thread? I am listening to your music. What is your favorite piece? Quote
Daniel Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Privately is better. My favourite piece of my own or of anyone's? Either way I don't just have one. Quote
Old Composer Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Me too man. email me at jwhitmarsh.stu @ okcu.edu Quote
Ferkungamabooboo Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 i'm willing to do it non-privately, if you need any more. Quote
guiseppi Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 With all the response, I easily got the participation needed. Thank you. I can't believe how gracious they have been. Quote
DrPangloss Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I don't know exactly what aspect of composing you're interested in. I'm a composer and lyricist for theatre/cabaret songs. If this interests you, feel free to e-mail me: david@davidrigano.com. You can hear my music at MySpace.com - David Rigano - NY, New York - Showtunes / Lyrical / Jazz - www.myspace.com/davidrigano or Rigano Songbook Quote
