Zelda: Majora's Mask is hands down my favorite video game music.

Also, any game with music composed by Grant Kirkhope has great music. The Banjo games, Goldeney 007, Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64.

I like the music from starwars Knights of the old republic 1 and 2, and zelda; twilight princess.

I'll always be a sucker for Final Fantasy soundtracks, but lately I've been really into the soundtrack for Ragnarok Online 2, by Yoko Kanno. Never played the game, but the music is some of my favorite Kanno stuff.

Metal Gear Solid III has a pretty kickin soundtrack.

My favourite song from a video game at the moment is "Midna's Desperate Hour" from Zelda Twilight princess.

So beautiful. More complex to play than I thought though, left hand is interesting.

The mass effect music is really excellent.

Also, the music to the original metal gear solid is really good, its a good blend of action and mystery and creepiness.

I like the music of one Martin O'Donnell.

He has done music for Bungie - so for Halo and Myth series for example.

Heroes of might and magic - Menu

All four of the final boss themes from FFVIII are awesome (as are the Parade theme and the Dollet Invasion theme), and the theme from the Via Purifico in FFX dwarfs "In Zanarkand" in my mind. The Tales and Star Ocean games all have great soundtracks, too. Fable has a really nice soundtrack, but everything is kind of overshadowed by the main theme by Elfman.

I'm a big fan of video game music as its what inspired me to start composing.

I really love the soundtrack of Donkey Kong Country 2 there's some great stuff there (esp. the main motif which is in almost EVERY piece).

Megaman X's music is an awesome example of what rock music can be.

Poke'mon Red/Blue and Gold/Silver. Reminds me of my childhood I often listen to the original chip tunes when I'm feeling down.

Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. I have an mp3 file of Golden Sun's overworld that I go listen to when I go running in the fields behind my house. The soundtrack of the whole series is just fantastic.

There's so many others I love but these are what pop into my mind first.
