Ashley June Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Hi I'm trying to write a piece for my composition class, and the final piece is due on Tuesday and I am having much trouble trying to notate a song I wrote down using sibelius. I'm not sure if perhaps I am assuming the wrong time signature and that's why I am having such difficulties with rhythm...whatever ever it may be what I'm hearing on the software is not what I would really be singing. If anyone would be willing to work with me I would be soooo greatful. I can provide the original song as well. Thank you :) Someday.sib Quote
Tokkemon Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Well, with what you have now, it should be 9/8 (or 4+5/8). But are you sure this is what you want? It seems like a very unusual meter for a "pop" song. Quote
Ashley June Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 i think you totally gave me the best answer i have been looking for. having it in 9/8 time runs much smoother...lets see if i can get the rhythm correct now for the voice. thank you sooooo much. Quote
