PhantomOftheOpera Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 How do you guys feel about mixing traditional orchestral music with electronic music, guitar riffs, distorted keyboards and such? I have this idea to do something like that... but I'm afraid someone is just going to proclaim me a heretic and burn me or shoot me :D Quote
Josed Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I believe that it is needed to be sounded to understand that Quote
Cody Loyd Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Just do it! It's been done before... but that is no reason not to give it a shot. Quote

Nirvana69 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Hate to burst your bubble but it's already been done before. Quote
PhantomOftheOpera Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 ye...i know its been done... but... none i have heard so far where.. u know.. easy listening music.. and I intend to do something like that... to be kind of commercial... but not too simple What I really want to achieve is to mix all music genres that are energetic, like cine-symphonic stuff, heavy metal, techno trance etc... jujimufu Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 How do you feel about looking a bit more into the contemporary music scene and see what's already there and go on from there? Why re-invent the wheel? See how other people have done that, what difficulties they encountered (notation, dynamics, amplification, effects, staging etc), how they overcame them, and go from there. Cody Loyd Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I have a very soft place in my heart for poor old Yngwie. I'm afraid that I do too.. some sort of reminiscence.. but for some reason it repulses me at the same time. When I was a kid though.. that guy was the shizzzz Quote
