Vernon Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Has anybody read his books? Interested in opening a discussion about this composer, and his theories. Quote
Flint Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I'm slogging through the first book now. The man had a gift for dull, dull, dull writing and uselessly technical examples. EDIT: But I like his compositions! Quote
Vernon Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 right? That composition books kind of makes me want to die... Quote
firsty_ferret Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I love his music, but I also find his writing quite interesting - he points out interesting elements of harmony and method of composition that are fairly unique in my opinion (even if the points are put across in a tedious manner :P) Quote
