It's kind of a crossbreed between traditional art music and film music. (I think that's what you mean). It's not 'classical' because 'classical' denotates a style of writing within a certain time period.

As far as the piece goes I can see it either way. It's certainly got minimal movement and development (so thats more the 'film' style) but I think the inclusion of the Kronos Quartet and the way the piece is handled gives it a more 'art music' vibe. I would classify it more as film I suppose.
