josepablofm Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hey!!! I choice Love!!!! hamm, God's Love!!!
Morivou Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 :D!!!! Bachian! This is SOMETHING ELSE, man! I loved this SOOOOO MUCH! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely review this hardcore when the comp ends.
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I have the idea down solid :) I have started already! I can't wait to share it :)
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Ah, the piece is fine! Called "Winds, Air, and Fire" Enjoy! (I only put in a pdf because of the awful midi sounds... didn't want to ruin the piece ;)) pdf:Winds air fire.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage
Morivou Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 Heckel. I am going to formally request the midi. ALSO, WHY IS THERE NO TEXT SET TO THE VOICE???? OMG!!!
Bachian Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Morivou, I have longer version of this work, but is it OK to submit it updated if the version is 5:06? Some competitions will take a few seconds over the time limit.
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 ALSO, WHY IS THERE NO TEXT SET TO THE VOICE???? OMG!!! Ummm..... because there isn't a need, it just adds color to it. If this were some sort of piece for a choir or something, then yes, text, of course. But here, it's a color addition :P This must be a big deal? Don't get so exited! Here's the midi: Winds air fire.mid - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage Doesn't the midi sound lovely?

Some competitions will take a few seconds over the time limit. Please! By all means submit it. Heckel: that's fine. But if it were real, would it be Ahhs or Ooos or what? That needs to be specified.
Bachian Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Please! By all means submit it. Thanks. This is my musical painting of the emotion Sadness. The piece is for String Orchestra in F#minor, which is the best playable key for the piece. I titled the piece "Heavy Night Sits Me Soul in Sorrow", which I think is a fitting title. Jimmyjuicin Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Here is my entry for rage, the aptly titled "I Always End Up Choking On the Pits of Dates" So as to ward off any and many questions about the title, I will answer them now. No, there is no story behind it, and yes it was completely random. :P I Always End Up Choking on the Pits of Dates.mp3 - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage I Always End Up Choking on the Pits of Dates.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

Morivou Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 *sigh* This is WONDERFUL GUYS!!!! The pieces submitted is already at such a HIGH quality. I am gonna ADD one more thing... The point of the piece HAS to be PLAYABLE/SINGABLE/READABLE. And, you will be judged on this. Meaning: Heckel, put in AHHS in your score. Jimmy, clean up your score... etc. This ALLLL has to do with communication (the key of this competition). You cannot communicate with a cluttered, unclean, unnotated score. :D
impresario Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 On my entry, the sixteenth notes sometimes have one big line instead of two lines, does that matter?
Jimmyjuicin Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 cleaner? i'm not sure if you anything done to the massive amount of accidentals... much of the piece is chromatic, so naturally there will be many. Each key signature is naturally the base for the section. I have cleaned up what i believed to be somewhat messy, and if you have a problem with the "page-within-page" format of the pdf, well... i'm sorry but there's nothing i can do about that. That's what the pdf creater i have decides it wants to do :P I Always End Up Choking on the Pits of Dates.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage
josepablofm Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Hello!!! here is my entry: One day of Culture This song is about God's love: expresed in the diversity of His creation, the nature and universe; and all the joy that all that give to us. I hope you like it!!!! (I know that is short that 3 minutes, but... whats the matter? i dont need all that time to express love, just need one second) This dont have score, because is an Acusmatic song -Like Schafer, Parmerud, Bayle-
Jared Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm almost done with mine! It is pretty weird... When on the 5th are they due? Oh and Bachian, I just wanted to say that your piece was really cool! You definitely nailed it man, I certainly enjoyed that a lot

charliep123 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Or "las" or "ooohs", or indicate that it should be hummed. Or whistled.

ad hoc Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Probably won't be submitting. Had great news this month and just can't conjure up the angry demons. Not with completely opposite inspiration lol. Should've gone with joy or something like that.
Jared Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Mine is ~10 seconds short of 3 mins; will I be penalized for that?
