Christopher Dunn-Rankin Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 A new musical, specifically geared toward churches and community groups for purposes of ministry... Moses Musical - HOME The opening number is probably the best out of all of them... for a life-changingly bad experience (especially for all you jazz-folk out there), listen to the song "Grumble and Groan" - a cheap blues knockoff... There are times when I feel like the purpose of the musical outweighs the story, which in some cases is offensive, and most cases just produces bad work. Exceptions exist - Bertoldt Brecht is one of them (Mahagonny, etc.). Quote
Morivou Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. *cough* They have a nice website. :) That's all I am gonna say. Quote
OMWBWAY Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I want to compare this to the epic and beautiful music of the prince of egypt, which it isn't, which is not fair, but with a story as huge as moses and egypt and the plagues, you need to blow me away. Quote
Christopher Dunn-Rankin Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 I mean, the purpose of this musical is to ignite the spirit within people. The point of the Prince of Egypt was to present the human element of the biblical story. Ironically, I think the Prince of Egypt ignited the spirit within better, simply BECAUSE it presented the human element. Quote
