keysguitar Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Hello, I'm kind of new to symphonic classical music, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions for pieces based on what I like. I like classical piano solo pieces, and modern symphonic works (ea, movie/video game soundtracks and the symphonies I've heard on this site) I also would like to hear some pieces that make use of saxophones either harmonically or melodically (or both). I especially like the alto saxophone. :) Quote
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Well, this piece doesn't use alto but it uses Soprano.... It's a very cool piece, Boris Tchaikovsky's 3rd symphony. It mostly doubles on the Clarinet, but in 2 places it is used. One is a solo with trumpet. :) Quote
