Choosing Composition as a Major

Uh... I can attest to the fact that no average is near $50k. Mi padre was a teacher in the same district for 20 years and didn't make that.

And I can also tell you that an 1st year RSD teacher will not make the same salary as a first year teacher at UNO.

How about we leave it at "underpaid" and "if your main concern is money in your job, it's the wrong job for you." I mean, you get bonuses for teaching Sped and ESL, but please lord don't do it for the money. I might have to hunt you down.

Perhaps I'm geographically challenged, but I've never heard of a city in Middle America called 'Hoedunk'.

Hoedunk, word used to commonly describe towns with little to no value, such as ash grove missouri. Anyways, yeah CoL matters, but let's stay away from extremes, otherwise everyone is extremely fit or everyone is extremely tokke.

Then don't make 100k a year with a family of 4 and then move to an area that you can't afford. Still have a problem? Pull yourself up by the bootstraps like every other hardworking American, or just make good decisions. I mean, either way, if I'm making 40k a year I'm not going to get married and pop out 2-3 kids, just sayin'. If I DID do that, I deserve everything I get, including the possible use of food steps and the subsequent high cholesterol.
