impresario Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Please read all the stickied topics before posting in a section. Read the **********READ THIS FIRST********** topic and you'd know how to APPLY for a lesson using the teacher list. http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/lesson.php?do=teachers (Teacher List) http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/faq.php?faq=lessons (FAQ for lessons)

impresario Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Those links are broken due to the fact that they were on the old forum. The lessons section and applying stuff is all down for the count until further notice. Mike, the administrator who organized this, is away at the moment, so for now there are no teachers or applying system. You have to find a teacher yourself via PM or member wall or chat etc. and make a lesson that way.
MariusChamberlin Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Which members would you suggest I talk to? I'm comfortable with the basics of theory (keys, scales, some chord theory...mostly learned while learning violin). I want to refine my theory knowledge, as well as learn compositional techniques. Are there any members who you can think of that might be able to help me?

State what you are looking for and what kinds of training you are after. Keep in mind, that the composers on the site here may charge a fee for their services - unless, of course, you are able to find one who will take you under their wings free of charge.
