PSaun Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I guess we must. What's your definition? Maybe you could give me an example to go along with it too. Quote
Ferkungamabooboo Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Look above, friend, at the Merzbow. Or at Weasel Walter. Or at Ettrick. But I've heard more extreme. Quote
Nirvana69 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 You need to think as extreme as possible. Get out of the box...!! Merzbow - Minus Zero :whistling: I wouldn't even call that dissonant really. Sure, it's loud and challenging to the ears. But so could a C Major chord if played with the right instruments at a loud enough volume. I personally view "dissonance" as a disagreement in the internal logic of a piece that has thus far been set up. I don't see much disagreement in anything that is going on there. Just my opinion. Also, I'm going to agree with myself and tell Heckle to give up once again. Just write what pleases you. Quote
Ferkungamabooboo Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 You make sense there, Nirv, but I'm not sure if there's no such thing as general dissonance. Actually, in listening, that's a pretty tame Merzbow track. Quote
robinjessome Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Actually, in listening, that's a pretty tame Merzbow track. Well then... It was the first one I found.... Quote
