CarlosCamejo Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I'm just a high school baritone with a range from C2-C6 (falsetto) Now, in chest voice, I can go from C2-approx. E4. Now, I want to be able to hit an F4 or even higher. How could I possibly improve my range? Quote
Morivou Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Vocalizing for long periods (an hour a day, with 15 minute breaks in between 20 minute sessions) will help. It's all very slow... there is no such thing as a "quick range" builder. However, you can increase your range for certain notes if you have solo or something by just vocalizing a lot... However... it won't stick. Just doing it an hour a day with the parameters set above will help you and will move you toward what you are going for. If you wanna go higher, play up there in your falsetto a lot. Learn more about mixed voice. And, see if you can build your mixed voice higher. I am a Baritone too, and I can constantly hit an F# (I am also just 17, though, and not operatically trained, I am musical theater), but when I have roles that I need a G for, I just vocalize for about three hours the day of performance, and I falsetto it for rehearsals. rudhobib Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Looks like such a gem of a spot mate! I love the look of those big old trees running along the banks. Great to see the bass are still in there growing big and fat! Quote
