James H. Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 So I noticed: http://www.youngcomposers.com/calendar/1/event-1 We can put events on the calendar. Cool! Now, this would be useful, but the calendar is flooded with birthdays. Is there a chance we could disable birthdays on the calender but still have them appear on the forum? So if somebody has a Dec.1 birthday, it doesn't show up on the calendar, but on Dec.1 the forum lists it under the "birthdays today". I just don't think anybody really cares about birthdays on the calendar and having it for member-created events would be much cooler. This way would could post submission deadlines to competitions or specific composer-related events, or even scheduled YC conventions (no matter how small!). Quote
John Axon Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 In some calendar applications such as Apple's, iCal, you can sort your event into different calendars (birthdays, for example) and then hide them if you don't want to see them. Is there a similar function with this YC calendar? What if you made another calendar just for birthdays? Peace on Earth, -John Quote
James H. Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 That's exactly as I imagined! *applause* I'll see if I can get more people to use this calendar. =] Quote
Anders Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Apparently, i don't have the permission to look at the callendar. *sighs* Quote
bob stole my cookie Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Me either... I feel your pain, Anders. So... why can't we access it? Also, will everyone be able to add publicly viewable dates to it (such as dates they are preforming, etc) or will it only show birthdays again? Quote
