jrcramer Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I have the idea some of the posts do not get posted. I reacted on a cello sonata by Voce, but that post disapeared. I was reading a topic in Comp HQ and saw the same seemed to happen with a post of Gardener. Is it possible the new forum has some quirks? Or were those cases Mod-removes? Quote
chopin Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Did you use the quick reply, or the traditional reply? When you posted, what happened, did the system hang? I ventured over to your post, and it looks like the second post came through, so if you were mod queued by mistake, that would not make much sense. Quote
rolifer Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 JR I looked into the Voce post and see no record that you added a post in that thread. Your reply was not deleted so hopefully you made a mistake of some kind. Can you be more specific about what happened in both your reply to Voce's thread and in Gardener's post? I don't know abpout Gardener's post unless I can know where it was posted. I know his wasn't deleted as well, but it might be hidden so I need to know where it was. Ron Quote
jrcramer Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 I used, as I do now, the "Fast Reply". As I remember I did not encounter any hang or disfunctional behavior. Maybe its just me and I planned to post on Voce's thread but did not do I. But I have no signs of dementia ;) I only mentioned it because it looked like gardener had something similar. As no one else has troubles it could have just me... But for now I am living under the preposition I'm not crazy;) Quote
jrcramer Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 This is the topic I saw gardener had something that made me post this post: http://www.youngcomposers.com/t21872/to-learn-about-serialism/page__view__findpost__p__322126 Quote
chopin Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 The both of you should check your computers for spyware or viruses. This definitely should not have occurred. What browser do you both use? Quote
jrcramer Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 FF3.5 Ubuntu 9.10 No virus/spyware Quote
chopin Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Interesting...maybe there is something on my end then. If this keeps up, please notify me again. Quote
Gardener Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I'm using Camino on a Mac. Pretty sure I have no viruses either. But in my case I can't guarantee that it can't have been some mistake on my side. I might have entered the post but forgot to click "Add Reply" or something. I -thought- I had, but who knows. Quote
jrcramer Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 I might have entered the post but forgot to click "Add Reply" or something. I -thought- I had, but who knows. I am afraid something a like could have happened here. I come back when I thing to see a new error. Meanwhile (if it is a site related problem) others can post their errors here... Quote
SYS65 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 It seems I haven't had that problem but for me, in the fast replay the icons appear wronly until I click within the text field. I use IE8 on WinVista32 Quote
