The final integration should occur by the end of the week. So if you would like to take advantage of our new system, I would cease uploading until next week. Otherwise, you may still use the archives for discussion. Once the network goes live in the next week, the archives will be read only.

Maybe make this a bit more visible? I've got a feeling that many people simply don't look in these forums.

Good idea, for now, the archives are towards the top.

Why are we archiving everything? There were a lot of active threads in there, why not leave them that way?

It's better to archive them because the new system is integrated with the social network. The archive is still open, and will most likely stay open for a few days after the network is fully launched.

Will it be possible to simply move any important/active threads to their relevant "new-forum"? Or will that just botch everything with the network/forum integration?

We could do that, until we eventually close the threads and move them. Those threads won't be integrated, as integration only works if someone creates a thread from Record Hall.

- in which case I'm sure people will start uploading all their old works to the network so they can appear there. Moving live discussion threads probably won't even be necessary.
