Deleting Posts

I was experimenting in off topic, and apparently you can't delete posts with IPB (you can still edit such that content is removed, which essentially amounts to the same thing). Why is this the case? Is there a reason deleting has been disabled? Is enabling it a difficult process?

As for your double-posting problems, yes, that's a known problem. (I refer to Antiatonality's thread.)
