DJ Fatuus Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Can anyone suggest any amusingly over-the-top 50's horror sci-fi soundtracks? Theremins are a bonus. My knowledge of 'serious music' means I know "The Day the Earth Stood Still" but beyond that I'm clueless. I've just found the genius show that is Mystery Science Theatre 3000! (I can't believe they never showed this in my country) so I'm working through it for leads. So any suggestions? Quote
Gardener Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Forbidden Planet. It's a classic of electroacoustic music, actually. You'll find it mentioned in lots of history books on electronic music. The music is actually really good at times. The movie is a definite must-watch and must-listen. Quote
