a button with a mind of it's own

Here is my current issue :P

whenever i use the "fastreply" to reply to a post, if i have selected and copied text, a button labled "add selected text as quote" appears.

what i would like to know is why does this button only work at certain times and why does it only work once per reply. does it have a mind of it's own? does the man in the brown pants control it and use it to irritate almost innocent members for his own amusement?

According to the database sessions table you're using Internet Explorer 6. The "Add Selected Text As Quote" should work fine with this browser, and indeed it just worked fine for me now as I tested it in IE6.

It should also work as many times as you want for each reply. Bear in mind that if you highlight something on the page and then select the fast reply textarea (activating the vertical blinker thing), you will no longer have anything highlighted on the page because you just gave the textarea the focus and thus when you hit the button nothing will get quoted. That one got me a few times. :P
