sabiansoldier Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Hey... First off, I wasnt exactly sure where to put this thread,,, so please just move it if its inappropriate. I'm involved in an avant garde/classical/jazz trio consisting of: Nicholas- Violin/Guitar Sean- Bouzouki/Voice Myself (Paul)- Flute/Percussion We are always looking for new music to perform, including the works of amateur/little known composers such as ourselves. My question is: Could YOU compose some chamber music for us to have recorded, and perform around Ireland? Should we use piece of yours, Ill personally see to it that you get royalties and such. We are all heavily influenced by Jazz and Blues, so improvisation is a key element of our music. Other influences include Classical, Minimalism, Baroque,(Post)Modernism, Ancient Music, World music (Latin, African, Far Eastern, European etc etc) Ill look forward to hearing your music! Quote
composerorganist Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Paul - I'd love to write for bouzouki Violin and percussion or voice. PM me. As I live in Astoria New York I know of possibly the ONLY music store in NYC that offers lessons in bouzouki and the staff can discuss traditional greek music (Heck there is even a radio station playing traditional and popular greek music here but its signal strength is that of a gnat!!!) jawoodruff Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I'd be interested in writing. Does the vocalist also improvise? Quote
