ruterger Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Hi All, I am new to this forum, but I think this is exactly the place I am looking for. I am an aspiring electronic music producer who is looking to work with a composer. I am fairly new to producing. I have been trying to work on tracks on and off for the past year, but I am finding it frustrating not able to produce the song I want. I believe if I work with the right composer, that person can work with me and write the song that I want, and put their own ideas in making the tracks sound great. Obviously the composer will be credited and payed for their services. I have a large connection to a lot of major electronic music labels, and this could definitely lead to a lot more work. If you are interested or have any questions please email me at midatlantictrance@gmail.com. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Quote
SYS65 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hey, welcome I'm not sure of what you really want or need, if is somekind of composition lessons (someone tells you how to do it or what to do with your ideas, development) or some kind of collavorative project(s) where you along with someone else compose a particular piece. Also, I'd like to know where you find more problems while composing. In electronic music, when you can not achieve something, you have to deal with 2 main aspects, 1) the mere composition/musical element (Harmony, rhythm etc) and 2) the handling of the electronic/synthetic instrument, so it may happen that you're very good with synth, midi knob/controler adjustments but you find it difficult in matter of musical termn, ... or be a good composer who can write a good symphony but know nothing about synthesizer programing, where you think you need help ? I personally find difficult to compose a piece along with another person, I don't know, I suposse I'm used to own the complete control of what I'm making, but I think it will be kinda difficult to find a person who want to compose with you, .... hope you can find the help you need.
