HeckelphoneNYC Posted February 20, 2010 Author Posted February 20, 2010 Hey, welcome to the competition CheeseLord! Thanks Jason.. I did (and still do) need more judges! Feel free to post your piece whenever you'd like.
jawoodruff Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 never mind Nevermind? And, since you ask for it.... this was the work I had composed: Rondo for Violin, Viola, and Timpani
HeckelphoneNYC Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 never mind Never mind? You never even joined!
Jimmyjuicin Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 can we still upload our pieces to sites such as box.net and then put the link here? I'm having issues with this site right now in that aspect
HeckelphoneNYC Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Of course. No need to upload it here, a box.net file will work perfectly!
DJ Fatuus Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 This is my first competition. Do we send you the works privately or post them on the site as normal?
cjdarnieder Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Where exactly would you like us to post these? I have a .PDF and .MP3 ready to submit anytime. Can I just post them on my page and then link it in this thread?
jawoodruff Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 You may either post the files on the forum using the regular upload options or upload the works to an external file sharing site and paste the link here in this thread.
HeckelphoneNYC Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 I'd like you just to post a box.net file here, or a link to a thread if you upload it to the site.
cjdarnieder Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Excellent. Here's the submission. Op. 19-For Alexander McQueen-Trio for English horn, Violin, and Viola
Jimmyjuicin Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Here's my entry! comments are welcome :phones: http://www.box.net/shared/fa4oq1sjud do you wanta pdf as well?
CheeseLord Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Hi, Here's both the project file and the sound file. I'm not sure about time, so just in case I don't have time to polish everything up, count this as my submission. If you want to see the project file (essentially the score), then download LMMS, a free DAW and load it up there. LMMS is here: http://lmms.sourceforge.net MP3: http://www.box.net/shared/y5l6l1vy1h MMPZ: http://www.box.net/shared/ie5xl45kzz
jawoodruff Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 So only three entries? How would you like us to adjudicate these Heckel?
HeckelphoneNYC Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 j.hall - submitted DJ Fatuus cjdarnieder - submitted Chris CheeseLord - submitted jimmyjucin - submitted MattZ2007 These are the people who entered. I would like to see if I can get their pieces in by March 5th. Deadline is now 5th of March :) Jaw: I had each judge giving each competitor up to 20 points: 10 for the overall sound of the piece 5 for orchestration and 5 for originality and creativity.
j.hall Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I am terribly sorry, I lost count of the days this week and didn't realise today was the 1st! Here is my entry: mp3: http://www.box.net/shared/eqkv01aa5f pdf: http://www.box.net/shared/s781ku334l
Christopher Dunn-Rankin Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Sorry, folks - got too busy to finish my entry - have to back out. I'll post it as a regular piece later.
benxiwf Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 could cheeselord and jimmyjuicin please submit pdf if possible
CheeseLord Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 benxiwf: sry, LMMS hasn't any export function :( I've posted the source .mmpz file if that helps (it only loads in LMMS though, so if you want, download LMMS and have a look)

jawoodruff Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Well, as prize for this months competition your work will be stickied to the Chamber Music page - at the top to be the first work visible on the upload forum itself. This will last for one month - starting today! Congrats!
j.hall Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Grats, cjdarnieder. I'd love to hear the judges opinions on my work.
