Scozzie006 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Right, I think this website is amazing, but I haven't been able to listen to anybody else's music or watch any videos because when I do, it says my internet has stopped working. Can you suggest why this might be happening? It would be great if I could hear what other people are composing/ Thanks Quote
impresario Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Hey welcome to the site and I hope you have a great time! I can see you're interested in others' compositions as well, which is great because commenting on others' pieces is what keeps this site going! As for your problem, I have no idea what could be the matter. I'll post you the two types of music links to see if you can open them: http://www.youngcomposers.com/pg/Music/Nicrion/composition?entry=28070 (Click play music in the black square) http://www.youngcomposers.com/pg/Music/BDW-Musician/composition?entry=28143 (Click the triangle play button next to the speakers) Quote
Scozzie006 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 No its still not working for either of them :L I'm so annoyed, but thanks for trying. Quote
impresario Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Yah I can see why you're annoyed, I don't know what it could possibly be! Good luck though. Quote
chopin Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 What browser are you using? And do you see the pages where the music is located? For example, are the pages loading? Does anyone else have this problem? This is very important so I can try to diagnose the issue. Quote
Scozzie006 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 I'm on internet explorer, and yeah I can see the pages where the music is. This sign comes up saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working, and Microsoft is looking for a solution to the problem." I think my internet is just crashing. I have no idea if it is happening to anyone else. I could try on Google Chrome maybe? Quote
Scozzie006 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Don't worry it works on Google Chrome! It will be a pain using it as it isnt my default browser, but it'll be fine. Thanks for trying to help. Quote
chopin Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 What version of IE? Anyway, do me a favor, try on Chrome and Firefox. This site was not optimized for IE, but we are going to rectify this problem in a month or two. I want your stay to be as pleasant as it could in the meantime. Please report back to me if FF or Chrome is working for you. Edit: Great! Use Chrome for the time being! Quote
Scozzie006 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Sorry to be annoying, but it says I don't have required plug-in to play compositions. What is this plug-in exactly? Quote
chopin Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 It's probably flash, because we use a flash player to play mp3's. Although I thought that most modern browsers had this already integrated into their browsers...hmm. Can you verify for me that this problem is solved by downloading and installing a flash plugin?
