Site speed: 7/10 ...not great, but tolerable.

Signing on: N/A ...I never sign out.

Haven't noticed any speed issues on the forum.

the past two days was getting slow, today looks fine, I've made 4 posts today, 3 were fine, 1 a bit slow, but not like yesterday, all pages show quickly.

I think the problem is the homepage, I've done a few tests. The CPU load increases from 1% to nearly 30% when I load the homepage of YC (the network's home). When one person loads the homepage it slows down the entire server by a lot, so imagine if multiple people are trying to load it at the same time. This affects the forum speed during that time and could very well be the reason why activity is down on this site. So when the site is slow, you can be sure that many people are trying to load the homepage.

I will try to resolve this by next week. My resolution would be the introduction of the improved faster network, and an upgrade to the server.

Absolutely - the home page is the problem. On a scale from one to ten, the forum is a nine (not a bad number, I have no problems with the speed) the logging in is an 8 (again completely fast enough) but getting to the home page to log in is about a 2.

About the moment you posted this thread chopin, (coincidentally) I couldn't log in at all. The homepage wouldn't load at all and it timed out. Thought maybe it was my wireless connection, since I don't use it often, but no... everything else was fine. I'd still give the homepage a 'fail' rating, it's SLOW. Forum index is fine as always.

Site speed horrendous today. Also database errors and the like.

Yes, today is really bad, I have to refresh 3 times to load a page, and I'm in the forum only, the network, don't even try.
