MariusChamberlin Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 In my music theory class we are working on a big paper that is basically the core of the class. My paper involves two pieces, one of them being a chinese erhu song "Sai Ma" which I guess means "Horse Race" or "Racing Horses" etc. Anyways I need help translating and deriving some of the things from sheet music I found of the piece. If anyone either 1.)plays the erhu and/or 2.) can read and translate chinese (i think it's chinese) I need your help please! I need any chinese text translated, and if there are any notations regarding technique, I could use help with that too. The music has been attached to this post, and thanks for any help. edit: I also need help with trying to notate this in western notation. Anyone who plays an erhu and is familiar with western notation I need your help. Quote
shpena Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 This is simplified Chinese. Your best bet is to ask Angela (makwingka) since she lives in the mainland. She is the only one I know that speaks Chinese. If there are any other members here that can read/understand Chinese, that would be good too :) I can only help in Spanish/Japanese translations, albeit poorly :P Quote
Ferkungamabooboo Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Google's translator is pretty good for Chinese. I've used it for work a number of times and my boss (a zhongguoren himself) was impressed with its translations. Quote
