Arthur Reglay
I've found many squares below the avatar of each member in the forum. Mine says "Composer" and I have two squares. N.S.Canzano's one says "Insane Romantic Composer" and he has a lot of squares and so on. What does that mean? How can I improve my composer level? Mike
The number of squares (pips) and the status of the default member title is determined by your post count. It's known as your "rank". To see the ranks as they are currently set up, click here. They are subject to change however - I've changed them a few times in the past as we've had more and more people with higher and higher post counts, so who knows, in a few months time the information in that table could become redundant. Also note that your title or pips are not an indication of your compositional skill level, merely an indication of how many posts you have made. David
I have a BMus in composition and yet the forum software deigns to call me an "intermetidate" composer. :-o

Arthur Reglay
But the number of post posted (redundance!) in the Off-topic and Free-for-all count in the counter (redundance!)?
David
I would imagine so - there's no reason why they shouldn't. Trouble is with composing, nothing's really off topic, as composers get their inspiration from anything. Therefore, to talk about beer and black pepper *could* be construed as on topic. Hope that helps! *grin*

M_is_D
Don't you think that "Master Composer" sounds so much better? :P
Arthur Reglay
Don't you think that "Master Composer" sounds so much better? Personally, no. It's OK like it is actually.
