11thdimension Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Is Percy Goetschius's book Exercises in melody-writing: a systematic course of melodic composition useful or dated? I read somewhere that although his books were written a long time and contain dated ideas much of what he wrote is still used and applied today. Is this book worth my time, then? It seems to be the best there is on Google books but there is very little information on this book on the internet. Quote
last life Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 From what I see now, it looks a bit dated, but still completed useful. I might actually read this myself. Thank you! Quote
