chopin Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 We are looking for quality Concert works and Film scoring submissions for this competition. This competition is sponsored by Jamie Whitmarsh's university (Oklahoma City University). Submissions could be a piece you have already written, and you can submit up to three pieces. Since the instrumentation is open, sending smaller ensembles (trios, quartets, etc.) is recommended, however if you are feeling ambitious, feel free to submit those more ambitious works as well. Who: Oklahoma City University composer's competition Type of competition: Two divisions, Concert works and Film scoring Info: The short film is made available three weeks before the due date (as speedy writing is something that composers usually seem to have to do working with film. Cost of Entry: Free Prize: performance of your work, and a showing of the film/score, both at a concert of ours in the Fall. Please visit their website for more information, and start submitting your works on that site!
roy Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 "All students enrolled in high school for Fall 2010 are eligible to compete for the Project 21 Prize for Music Composition." That'd rule out a great amount of YC members - including myself 1
