Thank you so much, Nick! I downloaded it - no sense in making you do it when being able to export to PDF is something that I've wanted to be able to do, since it's extremely useful for distribution purposes.

Johann - that sounds alright. Can't wait to see it.

I use CutePDF for changing files into adobe acrobat but sometimes it can be quite annoying cause it causes the pc to slow down or freeze if I have another printer on or doing something else.

Yeah, only a few days left. Hang in there everyone!

Yes, you should submit either a MIDI or MP3, AND either a sib., mus., or pdf., to Thomas' e-mail, which is in the first post in this thread. I don't remember it offhand, but it's on page one. I'm sure he won't mind the pieces being early. Good luck!

ONE WEEK!!!

Hmm, I think I'm gonna have to drop out. I barely have even one minute done, and that's only in MIDI. On top of that, I don't have a Notation program readily available for use to transcribe it afterwards, so it'll probably take too long. Sorry. I'll post the piece in the compositions section if I ever finish it, though.

Ooh, I'll have to drop out too. I barely have one movement done (which is only about two minutes) and now I'm stuck. I probably wouldn't win the competition, anyway.

PS: I'm not leaving...

Ok, SPC and Jeremiah, you guys are out too.

Gosh, everyone's leaving!!! *waaa*

I'm glad to hear you guys are still in...the competition is fun! :D

Also, I laugh heartily at the people that dropped out because they couldn't write well for an instrument.

Ooh, I'll have to disagree with you on that. The reason I dropped out was clearly stated in my earlier post. I've had experience with composing on all of the required instruments, except the timpani. But that didn't stop me.

Well, I'm happy to report that short of minor edits, my piece is FINISHED! Now, for some editing and rescoring; however, I WILL be finished. I WILL have something to turn in, and I'm very pleased with what I've got already!

Good luck, everyone. Five days left; I look forward to hearing what everyone has written!

Ok!! It's good to see that people are finishing...!!

As for myself, I am underway in the last section of my piece, out of three sections and a short coda. I should definitely be finished before Friday, if not done by Friday night. :(

I was actually done a week ago but wanted to rest from the piece a bit so that I can see it from another perspective later on.

Now for the final touches :)

I see a few people dropped out. Thats unfortunate.

I was going to wait to submit mine, but I turned it in today.

Ok, good! Thanks, Invsionary. That reminds me of an announcement I wanted to make:

ALL COMPOSERS, PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR PIECES, it will make organizing the end of this competition go quicker if we know who has done what. So far I have Invisionary down as 'submitted'.

I will PM this to everyone as well.

I sent out an email to all competitors reminding them of the deadline. I tried to make it a little more friendly than the last one.

Also included in that email is the instruction to post in this thread once the competitor has submitted the piece to Thomas, as per your latest announcement, Nick.

Haha so I get the pms and you get the e-mails, Mike! It's like a tag-team to annoy people!!

Thanks!

Oh, ok. Thanks a lot, Hillary!

Yea, um, I'm out. Because I forgot I was in until like a few days ago, and I don't really have the time to do it. ^^ Nor would I have much of a chance, either.
