Avacado Guy Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Hello, I am new to these forums. I personally do not have any experience musically. I used to have Sibelius and fool around composing stuff but it never was that good. I have a big interest in opera and I was wondering if there was any young composer out there who wanted to write music to an opera and let me give a shot an writing a libretto. I see it as a very fun project. If anyone is interested. Please Respond. Thanks!
Calehay Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 What type of opera do you have in mind? I would be interested in writing an opera, but I definitely wouldn't be able to pull off anything Grand-Opera-ish. And is it possible for you to show a taste of your work?
Guest Anders Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I would be interested as well, but it depends on what you're planning on. If you intend this as practise, where both the composer and librettist can grow and develop, then i'm definitely interested. However, if what you have in mind is some kind of large-scale masterpiece then i'd better leave it for the more experienced.
M_is_D Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I'm bored, I'm writing librettos, but I would definately do the music for this one! :P PM please!
