saigen Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Hey guys. This is something i've been curious about for quite some time now. How does one go about messing with the choirs in order to create their dynamism and epicness so that it sounds like they're actually shouting? I've seen countless of composers doing it and.. to me, it's somewhat of a mystery still. Quote
Marius Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 There's no real trick to it...just use the loudest dynamic layers and play with volume and stacking multiple choir patches. If you're using the PLAY version, then buying the VOTA add-on will give you an extra layer of loudness that can be useful for exactly this. Unfortunately if the result isn't shouty enough for you then there's not a whole lot you can do. You can't coerce a sample to turn into a shout. For the best in modern LOUD choirs, I would recommend Tonehammer's Requiem. Extraordinarily punchy and big sound and they're really screaming at those top dynamic layers. Quote
