J. Lee Graham Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I didn't know where to put this, and this looked like the most appropriate place. In preparing to start publishing my own and others' works in the near future, I've prepared an urtext edition of an art song by early Romantic composer Norbert Burgmueller (1810-1836). It was an easy little project to practice putting a publication together, and I plan on using this song as an audition piece anyway. I've attached the publication as a pdf. Would you kind folks consider having a look and giving me some comments and/or suggestions on it? I'm not really good at the whole graphic design thing. Yes, that's Burgmueller's autograph of the song on the cover. I thought it was a nice touch, but let me know if it's a little trop. Feel free to print it out and have a look at it...it's a nice song. He's another "unknown" overshadowed by giants, and he died tragically young - not much older than most of you; this song was written in 1829, when he was all of 19 years old. Thanks.
yeonil Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Looks nice. I was accustomed to some fingering tips in some places, but i think it's not necessary here. hmm vocal line looks good too. hmm. Finale font? Yeonil
Guest BitterDuck Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I think it looks pretty good. Then again i'm not expert, but in my humble opinion I say it looks pretty good. Also I do love the lyrics, especially the first line.
