magyari Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hello all, I wasn't here for a long time... I need your help now :) I'm working on an electronic work, and I have a long note.. I would like to make a glissando on it. Do you know any programs, which are able to do this? I downloaded 4 programs, and nothing :( I hope you can help :) Cheers, Magyari Quote
Daniel Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hey Magyari, Give us some more info. Are you working in a notation program, or a sequencer? Quote
magyari Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 no. I just have prerecorded things, I will do some effects with them and then cut the whole piece (which will be only accompaniment). I need to do two things: a long note and glissando up and down, up and down etc... and a long note starts for example on E, starts to slide to G and stops at G. These are my problems :) Magyari Quote
magyari Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 well, that's my question :D what program should I work with? So which program could do these two things for me? :) Quote
magyari Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 ooops, sorry, i couldn't see the software and hardware forum here.. but i hope you can answer my question too :) I couldn't really get used to this new style yet... Quote
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Hey, welcome back :) Well Sibelius 5 and 6 both work for that. I write glissandos sometimes, and though it's not so... great, it gets that sound. I know finale doesn't work for them (at least 2004-2006) all that well. I can tell you how to get sib 5 and 6 to play glisses. Quote
magyari Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 well as I know, sibelius works only with it's midi too, not? I think you misunderstood me, I have a recording (for example a car's sound for 30 secs) and I want to make a glissando with it. So I think notation programs won't work, because it's not an instrument or something like. I work with prerecorded stuff, so I need something like a mixer program. I just don't know any mixer programs :) Sorry, my English is not that good :) Quote
Tokkemon Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 You need a DAW with a Pitch Change plugin. Quote
