April 27, 201213 yr The deadline to our second annual writing and composition contest is fast approaching! With $1600 in cash prizes to be won and publishing opportunities for writers and composers, the stakes are high in this contest. The Sonic Geography category of the contest asks writers and journalists to write 500 words about sound and how it affects space, people, or cultures. The Electronic Music category calls for new electronic works from composers and sound artists. The entry fee is only $20 CAD, and includes the cost of a 1-year subscription to Musicworks magazine (3 magazines and 3 CDs)– no one comes out empty-handed.
