calebhines Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I'm not Sibelius user, but this is pretty sad. http://www.artsjournal.com/slippeddisc/2012/08/at-sibelius-software-the-last-staff-turn-out-the-lights.html Quote
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Sib 7 was bad anyways...I'm keeping 6! It's not perfect but it's way better than anything else. The main thing is....no celesta sound :( Quote
Austenite Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I was also mad at Finale 2011 not having any celesta available  ! It just ruined a chance for me to display it. So it's a tie with Sibelius... Quote
HeckelphoneNYC Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I have to use glock and/or vibes as the sound :( Quote
Sojar Voglar Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 If Sibelius "dies" it would be a tragedy. I really love it! Well, if this really happens, I will simply stick to 6.0 version which I own. :) Quote
Kvothe Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I do not belive gosip in which this article writes about. Quote
.fseventsd Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 It's true as far as I know. I learned about this from a reputable source before the article was posted. LilyPond is the future >.> 1 Quote
jrcramer Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 LilyPond, yay! EDIT: Ok, I like the output, the simplicity of the notepad-entry (this is for the real nerds), etc. But despite that all I have very seldom used it. I stick to the GUI of Finale, spoiled by the playback it offers. I know Lilypond can generate a MIDI output, but I am lazy... :) Quote
Guest Locrian Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Absolutely Should I still buy still Sibelius 7? Quote
