Ink Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 So I'm working on a piece for orchestra, and there's a part where everybody is playing Forte for about 20 measures. There's a cymbal crash every other measure, and when it hits, I lose about half of the instruments that are playing. This happens again the violas begin playing a counter melody. This has happened to me before when I was writing in FL Studio with Edirol, and all I had to do was raise the limit. So is that the problem? And if so, where is the option to fix it? Thanks! Quote
Guest Locrian Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 The problem is you're using Finale. Quote
kenhimura Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Work with your sound off. You cannot guide yourself by what you hear in such programs, both Finale and Sibelius are unreal projections of what you're writing. 1 Quote
benxiwf Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I think the real issue is with the amount of sounds occurring at once rather than db level. You've probably exceeded the allowed number of playback channels. Quote
