Android Or Iphone?

I am looking into phone application development for YC, and I most likely will start with Android development because it doesn't require me to invest in a Mac. But I am curious what the Iphone and Android population is on this site.

I have neither.

For now there are 0 android users and 4 iphone users.

I think I would not be so much interested in an special YC-app. I'd rather see a fully working mobile version of the site. I know this is not easy, because for iDevice users it would mean replacing all the Flash candy with HTML5, and thats no doubt a lot of work. But it does not require an Mac-investment.

Anyway, keep up the good work :)

This is definitely impractical; an excellent cross-platform app already exists, called Tapatalk, and all we need to do to have YC accessible is tie in some code:

Then we have a fully functioning mobile access point for the forums, without fussing with a dedicated app.

I have an iPhone. Maruis has an excellent idea:why invent something that has been invented already. Make sense to me use this one.
