orchestralmusic.net Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Hello. I offer making recording of your composition using professional digital instruments. I wouldn't make it for free, but for a some small fee we agree upon. More information here: http://www.orchestra.../for-composers/ I think it's pity that many compositions here on YoungComposers are degraded by using synthetic-sounding sounds. Quote
Sarastro Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I think it's pity that many compositions here on YoungComposers are degraded by using synthetic-sounding sounds. I think it's pity YC is degraded by spammy topics exploiting the naïveté of some who might actually believe that the poor quality of their compositions has anything to do with the substandard syntheticness of their audio presentations. 2 Quote
.fseventsd Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 i have a better idea i know this might sound crazy but bear with me... maybe you should get to know some musicians in real life... and write pieces for them... so that you have live recordings which sound infinitely better than even the most professional digital rendering??? :horrified: 2 Quote
robinjessome Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 i have a better idea i know this might sound crazy but bear with me... maybe you should get to know some musicians in real life... and write pieces for them... so that you have live recordings which sound infinitely better than even the most professional digital rendering??? :horrified: I wholeheartedly support this and write exclusively for my own groups. Granted, it may not be the easiest way to experiment or practice writing for larger/unique ensembles. Also, I can understand that some people may not have any access to musicians, but there's nothing quite like rehearsing/performing with a live group. Quote
Morivou Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Jay, what about those who don't want to be professional musicians? And, just want to make cool sounding music? Quote
.fseventsd Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Jay, what about those who don't want to be professional musicians? And, just want to make cool sounding music? why would those people need the op's help? they can do that in a sequencer, fully exploiting all the possibilities of electronic music, without necessitating recourse to pale simulacra of acoustic sounds. Morivou Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I believe the point is for people who just want to write the midi content, and then have somebody else humanize it. Quote
xrsbit Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 You know what thing is good for humanizing other things? Were you thinking humans? Because that is absolutely wrong. Silly you. Quote
orchestralmusic.net Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 Hello. I think computer music will never be better than real music. I myself want to have ideally all my pieces recorded live by live people. But I just can’t at this moment. So I must do it in some other way. I think there are not many people nowadays, especially young composers, who are lucky enough to have theirs big orchestral pieces recorded by professional orchestral. Am I wrong? Also, if you want to have good organ recording, it is definitely not easy. That’s why I put my offer here. If you are not interested, that’s OK. Maybe someone else will be. Quote
orchestralmusic.net Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 Hello. I have bought a new computer and now can fully utilize EWQL Hollywood Strings. It is much better than other string instruments I have used. You can hear it in 2 new orchestral pieces on my pages (Orchestra 51 and 52).
