just someone Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 (edited) Hi YC, I'm new here. A little about me, I am not really a composer, and do not know very much about music theory. I like trying to make music though, and have been trying off and on for a while now. deleted stuff.... Never mind, will wait until I can come up with a better question that can actually be answered. Sorry for wasting your time. Would someone mind deleting this? tyia Edited December 12, 2012 by just someone Quote
Ananth Balijepalli Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I'm not trying to be a dick, but if you type into google "learn music theory" I am absolutely sure you will get tons of search results that will answer all of your questions. Quote

This anti-spoonfeeding must stop. Before it's too late. 1 Quote
Menelik Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Yeah, we should reckon with the fact that everyone already knows the basics about music and no one needs any help to get started. Quote
Guest Ravel's Hookers Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Yeah, we should reckon with the fact that everyone already knows the basics about music and no one needs any help to get started. It's not the fact that people need help getting started -everyone has to start somewhere, it's that the people who need help aren't attempting to help themselves. Unless this is the first time the guy has ever used the internet, ever, and he has never heard of Google, it's not excusable. Look what I came up with in less than 30 seconds by simply searching for 'Chord Progression's in Google (and better resources can be found by being a littler savvier). http://en.wikipedia....ord_progression http://idiotsguides....ogressions.html http://www.8notes.co...rogressions.asp The reason why others and myself make it a point to be a dick about it is because it's annoying and pathetic that kids come here expecting members to spoon-feed them. Not only this, but these sort of "concisely explain to me everything you know" type questions trivialize the amount of time and energy that goes into learning the craft. Quote
