Morivou Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 OK. So, here are the official instructions and deadlines: You have from NOW until December 31st going INTO January 1st at Midnight. So, when the clock strikes 12:00 AM EST on January 1st, votes will STOP being counted. :) How to vote (if you disregard this, your votes will not be counted): COPY AND PASTE this list into a PM to Morivou (me). Put an X next to the "two" pieces (you can vote up to TWO pieces in each category) you are voting for. YOU MAY NOT vote for your own piece. But, you MAY vote in any category, even if you were nominated for that category. I have removed the double posts. HEY: DOMINUS VOBISCUM HAS BEEN REMOVED. IF YOU WISH TO CHANGE YOUR VOTE YOU MAY PM ME. EDIT: Johnbucket's Sonata in E has been DISQUALIFIED from the competition because it was uploaded in 2011... Somehow I missed that. :P YOU MAY EDIT YOUR VOTE FOR THIS. Sojar Voglar Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 And you cannot vote for your own composition? Or can you? I prefer you cannot...
violinboy1996 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 A couple people made this list a lot of times!
Austenite Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 You listed Bob twice in the chamber category. Also MdeFilippis in the Band category and Bryla in the jazz one.
SYS65 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Why no polls ? so secret this time, maybe we will be notified by PM "You didn't win" :D
Menelik Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 A couple people made this list a lot of times! And you cannot vote for your own composition? Or can you? I prefer you cannot... Hmm... in this case it seems that the Austen and Sojar himself would be forbidden to vote at all, given that they seem to have a nomination in virtually every composition category :eyebrow: .
Morivou Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 ALL QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN THE OP, AS WELL AS EXTRA PIECES (DOUBLES) DELETED.
Sojar Voglar Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Hmm... in this case it seems that the Austen and Sojar himself would be forbidden to vote at all, given that they seem to have a nomination in virtually every composition category :eyebrow: . I can't do anything about it... I only shared my compositions and others obviously liked it. :) I have also done my share of voting. Good luck to every finalists! 1
Morivou Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 PLEASE FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS. :(
violinboy1996 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I like seeing that nominees are still voting for other nominees... good sportsmanship guys! :) 1
SYS65 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Voted, and I didn't vote for myself in any category. 1
.fseventsd Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I like seeing that nominees are still voting for other nominees... good sportsmanship guys! :) that's a bit less impressive considering the size of the forum's base... virtually every active member got nominated for something
cjplumblossom Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 OMG HAHAHAHAI can't believe I made it to the 'Oddest Ensemble ever written for' category! And the 'Most Improved'? ^^And...Staff's Pet..? 8D *sweats*And oh dear, 'Shoutbox Quotations Thread'... *sweats even more* 1
Guest Ravel's Hookers Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Please be serious guys, this is really important. It means a lot to people.
EileenDances Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I have also cast my vote. I hope to be picking winners ;) !
Austenite Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 ... I'd bet that the 16 nominations for Austenite and the 15 for Sojar Voglar must be site records. If either one or both end up carrying no awards, that will surely be a site record. But then again, this has exceeded even my wildest expectations, so I'm grateful to the community already. Thanks!
Brackenbury Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 A couple more nitpicks... Sojar Voglar still appears twice in the "Old Timers" category. While listening to the nominated pieces (which is why I haven't voted yet), I noticed that JohnBucket's Sonata in E minor was uploaded in August 2011. Is it still eligible for this year's awards? Please clarify. Thanks.
Morivou Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 Gee. I'm glad I have this site to make sure my work is good. hahaha. Updated.
Brackenbury Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I have now voted after a listening marathon.
Sarastro Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Thanks for the nominations! I feel bad because I did not nominate (very busy end of term, paired with painfully slow internet connection) but I shall at least cast my votes. Best of lucks to all the nominees! 1
Morivou Posted December 23, 2012 Author Posted December 23, 2012 Well, actually... lol. And, btw - I have 8 voters submitted. let's RAMP IT UP PEOPLE 1
Mozartian Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I just sent my vote....don´t like to post a lot, but I am always looking arround.
