Would An Algorithmic Composer Be Of Help To Actual Composers?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

While reading many articles and books about music theory, I made an algorithmic composer, and I have intended it (computoser.com) to be of help to actual composers - the source MIDI
files are there for download (freely, under creative commons), MusicXML is also available (though still buggy) so that composers can reuse some motifs, for example.

But since I've never actually written anything myself, I'm not sure if that would work. Do you think the algorithmic compositions can be of use for human composers? If so, should I provide something more?

And, in general, are songwriters/composers willing to grab an algorithmically-generated motif and develop it?
