Green Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Please, anyone know which classical composer write this kind of music? I heard Danny Elfman wrote in this style, not sure if it's his own signature. Quote
Ken320 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Gary Yershon, film composer. See "Happy Go Lucky" Quote
Green Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Thx Ken. Only in movies? or this could be Alban Berg or Aaron Copland? I haven't checked them yet though, a lil help would be much appreciated. Quote
Ken320 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 The example sounded tonal, and indicative of a chamber style used in many British films that don't use American pop music. Many do. Yech! Berg is distinctively atonal and Copeland is distinctively ... Copeland. Both of these composers tended to write for large orchestras, but I'm no expert on them. Do a little research on the example and work your way back. To me the sound was not very distinctive, the way a lot of film music is. Good Luck! Quote
