I've been absent from the forums for the past month or so... I've been so busy! but thankfully my schedule is easing up, for that reason I'm extended the due date to June 13th (Friday the 13th DA DAD DUHH). I'll be more active in my push to get members to join in, hopefully that will encourage participation. Thanks guys!

I'd like to participate. But I have a question first: Should the uploaded file be a Midi file or should there be a link to a page where the Midi file can be downloaded?

I'm glad you're interested   ;) I don't need to download the midi file as long as I can simply hear it and see the music score. Thanks!

Would an mp3 be fine too?

An mp3 file and a pdf of the score is actually the standard way that we share music here. So yes, an mp3 will do for a sound file, but make sure you remember to give a score if at all possible. It makes it much easier to evaluate the music. I don't know if this FL Studio software you're using can produce the notation. If not, that might be an issue. I assume Sonataform has some type of notation software that can haphazardly convert the midi file to notation for reading purposes, although I'm not certain that it would faithfully reproduce the music as intended. Which is why you should definitely upload the mp3.

Here's my piece: http://www.youngcomposers.com/music/listen/6483/diseased-mind/

I actually feared that it would take me too long to transcribe the piece and make an mp3 with my program but I managed to finish it faster than I expected. I still have the feeling that it may not be accepted because it's a little too hard. But if I, an amateur pianist, can play it than I'm sure that you can too, Sonataform. Or at least I hope so.

You may consider my piece Alba No. 2.

In my defense, I only joined this site yesterday! :) there wasn't much chance I could've made the deadline, but you have a point ^^

While U238 is right in a general sense, you are new so I think you're fine. Sonataform did not object to your entry, so I don't think there's an issue there.
